MRSC Ultimate Touring

MRSC will be sponsoring a touring team this year because we love the sport and because we want to support the growth of this sport in Mississauga and Richmond Hill. The club will be supplying uniforms as well as forking out the cost of registration fees for approx. 4 tournaments.

Who should try out?

We would like a competitive team, but our main concern is that we have players that will represent the club and the sport of Ultimate in a positive light. We would like players with great sportsmanship, a competitive heart and an enthusiasm for the game. As well as a Need and Longing to unwind from work life and to have fun playing Ultimate over a weekend. All touring players must be a MRSC Ultimate player.

What is involved?

The touring team this year will be run by Mike Skiby and Trish Wilson, as co-captains. In the near future they will be having tryouts and will be scheduling practices after the team has been chosen. The team will have up to 14 players. The format of most tournaments is 7 on 7 co-ed. Mike and Trish will chose players that are competitive with a high level of sportsmanship.

Team members are also expected to help run 2 clinics a season for other players within the league. They are also expected to help promote the sport and the club to their fellow Mississauga and Richmond Hill residents.
